AIRCRAFT RENTAL CHECKOUT PROCESS

2. Schedule Your Checkout

Contact our office at 209-830-7666 opt. 2 to set-up a checkout flight.

Checkouts are approximately 1 hour of flight time and 1 hour of ground time with a CFI. Exact checkout times will vary depending on pilot proficiency.

3. Bring In The Following

On the day of your checkout, your will need to bring in the paperwork listed in step 1 as well as the following items for us to copy & verify:

Pilot’s License  – Medical Certificate  –  Photo ID – Logbook (Flight Review Verification) 

4. Start Flying!

After you paperwork and checkout flight is complete, you will receive log-in information for our online scheduling system. From here, you will be able to make reservations as needed. If any assistance is required, please contact one of our office staff. 

Rental information

Checkout Minimums

In addition to an Aircraft Checkout, renters must also meet minimum hourly requirements. Please CLICK HERE for the Insurance Requirements.

Fueling

Aircraft are rented wet; fueling on long or cross country flights will be reimbursed up to $5 per gallon as credit towards your rental.

Out of State Flight

Aircraft are rented wet; fueling on long or cross country flights will be reimbursed up to $5 per gallon as credit towards your rental.

Aircraft Model

A seperate checkout is required for different makes/models of aircraft. For example, you will need a seperate checkout flight for a Cessna 152 and Cessna 172.

Overnight Rental

Overnight and/or full day rentals are subject to rental minimums. 3 hour billable minimum for weekday flights and 4 hours billage for weekends.

Insurance

Renters Insurance is not required to rent at Skyview, all Skyview aircraft are covered for accidents/incidents, however some elect to obtain outside polcies for personal or additional coverage. Please see rental agreement for more details.
